The number of questions in the short answer (SAQ) component is being reduced, along with total marks — down from 360 to 330.
Ten (10) minutes of reading time is being added to the SAQ component.
Note: the 10- and 20-week courses are the same content, spaced at different intervals.
Master the ACEM Fellowship short answer questions through our structured, exam-focused course designed to replicate real exam conditions. Over 10 or 20 weeks (flexible to suit your schedule), you'll progressively build your exam stamina and confidence through weekly practice exams.
How the Course Works:
The new format is 330 marks (down from 360), worked at roughly 1.8 marks per minute rather than the previous 360 marks at 2 marks per minute — plus 10 minutes of reading time. We see this as a little more wiggle room, not a wholesale change. We've seen strong correlation between candidates who pass and those who manage time well. The course progresses as follows:
The first three weeks give you extra time to develop your technique and build confidence.
From Week 4, you'll work faster than exam pace (2 marks per minute). If you can do this, your exam technique is bulletproof.
From Week 7, you'll complete exams at real exam pace (1.8 marks per minute). Move through at pace and add depth where time allows.
Receive comprehensive feedback within 5–7 days of each exam.
